I see back in 2001 there was a poll to see if folks were interested in an
LbNA medallion to go on their hiking staffs. I'm wondering if this was done and
if they're available anywhere.

Good question. I'd be interested to know, too. I picked up an
absolutely awesome hickory walking stick (from Tennessee) this past
summer, and that would add a perfect touch.

I still have some info from a company that makes them. It looks like
we could get them at a reasonable price if we order 15 or more. I
will need to look at their prices again. More than likely they would
not be relief type medallions like you get from Hike America. I
liked a few of the samples they sent. If we get enough people
interested, I would not mind coordinating a bulk order.

I would probably be willing to buy one, depending on the price.

I have a few questions: The samples you mentioned liking, were they from
Hike America, or from the other company? Does Hike America still make
the relief kind? Would they still be available, and if so, how would the
prices compare? Sorry everyone who has already responded, I'm probably
asking for a lot but I am curious.

This is what was posted about medallions back in 2001. I can see why they
backed off then. It's pricey. But if we've got a place that'll do them
cheaper, I'm all for it and would even up the count of how many I'd order.

early.

If not too expensive, I'd definitely be interested in 4 of them, and
possibly a few more.

I did a quick, informal count, and we have in the neighborhood of 30
medallions spoken for, so far.
I like the look of the pictures on the website. Okay, so it's not Hike
America, but it's not bad, either. My hiking staff currently has a number of
medallions on it from the county nature hike series I used to go on, and they're
not all fancy like the Hike America ones, so for the money, I say Hermann
Werks is fine with me!
